Mr. Gliga lives and works in the Transylvanian region
of Romania, where the wood is famous and highly
coveted for instrument making. Mr. Gliga has won many
awards for the superb workmanship and tone of his instruments,
including competitions at Cremona, Mittenwald, Frankfurt
and Paris. His instruments are based on Strad patterns
with his violas being available in several sizes. He
provides each instrument with a certificate of authenticity
which includes measurements, materials, photographs
and dates.
His instruments have been very popular with our customers
and with players who have tryed them. This is not surprising,
as they are held in high regard around the world. Gliga
instruments are available in seven different levels
of quality (from shop-made to handmade with the best
materials), in various sizes, and in a number of different
varnishes. |
