Founded in 2001, BLUE DANUBE MUSIK IMPRESARIO arranges
and produces events in Central and Eastern Europe
designed to strengthen the professional capabilities
and resumes of qualified classical artists (conductors,
singers, instrumentalists, stage directors, etc.,
at all stages of their careers). We collaborate with
major European orchestras, opera companies, performers
and teachers in this pursuit. BLUE DANUBE MUSIK IMPRESARIO
arranges and produces public concerts, recording sessions,
and tours (sometimes simultaneously with recording
sessions). We also produce workshops and masterclasses
that focus on operatic and symphonic/orchestral repertoire
for conductors, singers, instrumentalists and stage
directors. Past masterclasses have featured the works
of Verdi, Puccini, Bizet, Rossini, Donizetti, Sibelius,
Carl Nielsen and Brahms.

BLUE DANUBE MUSIK IMPRESARIO is now involved in the organization
and co-production of international competitions
for conductors. Our first such event (BLUE DANUBE/BARTOK INTERNATIONAL OPERA CONDUCTING COMPETITION) took place place during the summer of 2005.
Please consult 'Past Productions'.
Our workshops/masterclasses are influenced by the
pedagogy used by Maestro JORMA PANULA, the eminent
conductor, composer, and "Maestro of Maestros"
from Finland. Panula gently guides his students in
an unobtrusive yet psychologically profound way, helping
them develop greater authoritativeness and command.
Participants are generally not interrupted during
rehearsals; afterward, however, their work is reviewed,
discussed, and analyzed using video tape, in a constructive
and supportive manner. All of our masterclasses feature
this methodology, irrespective of the coach.
