The sixty-three (63) conductors invited to take part in the Competition will be responsible for their transport, hotel and meal expenses. Hotel information will be available toward the end of April.

The competition is limited to the FIRST 63 qualified conductors who:

1) Submit their application and materials;
2) Are accepted/approved after review of their materials (see list of required materials below)
3) Confirm their intention of participation at the time of acceptance with the application fee (non-refundable 50 EUR) and required deposit of 200 EUR. This deposit will not be refunded if a conductor cancels (for ANY reason) after 1 May 2007. The balance of the competition fee (450 EUR) will be due in Cluj-Napoca on the conductor's first Competition day (in cash and in EUR only, please).

The following must be included for the application to be considered complete:

1) Completed application form (sent via post, fax or e-mail).
2) Videotape of recent conducting (opera preferred but not mandatory) that preferably includes rehearsal and performance footage. NTSC, PAL, DVD, CD-ROM formats are all acceptable (posted to Vienna). NB - This requirement may be waived if a CV is strong enough. Please inquire.
3) Resume or CV (sent via post, fax or e-mail).
