Conductors have different reasons for wanting to engage such groups: some need their first experience at a professional level; others may want to better prepare for a conducting competition; others simply to gain more confidence as a guest conductor; still others wish to better prepare for an important audition, etc. Regardless of the reason, Blue Danube Musik Impresario matches a conductor's demands with a placement with a professional organization in Central or Eastern Europe.

Orchestras and opera companies are also grateful for these placements as their funding from governmental sources continues to decline. They rely more and more on tours, recordings and the kinds of placements we offer for their solvency as businesses as well as artistic entities.

Conductors PAY Blue Danube Musik Impresario a fee for these placements (please inquire about prices). For orchestral concerts, conductors generally receive three or four rehearsals and a dress rehearsal in addition to a public concert. For an opera engagement, conductors usually receive a cast rehearsal with piano, separate rehearsals with orchestra and chorus, a Sitzprobe (all elements but without costumes or staging), a dress rehearsal and the public performance. Hotel accommodation and ground transport is usually included. Blue Danube Musik Impresario arranges and oversees all transportation, accommodation and logistical details. Videotaping and press reviews can also be arranged.
