A frequent guest conductor in Europe of the standard
orchestral and operatic repertoire, as well as a champion
of contemporary music, Anthony Armoré was invited
to conduct the Slovak Sinfonietta in several concerts
on their American tour during the spring of l997.
In May of that year, he recorded a compact disk with
them for Disques VDE-GALLO Records of Lausanne, Switzerland.
The CD, titled RETURNS: Pacific Northwest Composers
from Europe, features the music of Ernest Bloch, Tomas
Svoboda and Klaus Cornell, and was internationally
released in September of 1999.
