"FP" Series Description
Cases of the "FP" series have a rigid structure made of thermo-insulating foam plastic. Their outer surface layer is covered with a nylon-like fibre cloth. The cases allow the attachment of a variety of straps, a pocket for music, and other accesories.
The cases are intended for the frequent manual handling of instruments, even at extreme temperatures.
The most important feature of the "FP" series is the perfect thermal insulation. This is of great importance when, for example, an instrument is being transported at temperatures below 0 degrees C and then is taken out of the case at room temperature. The sides of the case are constructed of a special cellular foam plastic of high thermal insulation. The foam wall has a thickness of approximately 2 cm. Due to the nature of this material the insulation effect is that of a home refrigerator or a 25 cm thick brick wall.
The type of plastic combined with the thickness of the foam wall gives excellent shock absorption, therefore the instrument inside the case is perfectly protected against any impact or shock.
Another advantage of the FP series cases is that they are very light.
