RENTAL GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Our rental agreement is based on a term of minimum two full months. At the end of the initial two months term, if you do not inform us that you wish to terminate the contract, the contract will be extendable on a monthly basis until you decide to terminate it.
You only pay for the time you have the instrument. If you return the instrument before the end of the period, but after the obligatory two months, we will refund any unused portion of the rent, to the nearest complete month.
There is no refund for early return of an instrument within the two-months period.
Should you decide to purchase the outfit, we offer a credit of 50% (exclusive of VAT)of the rental paid if you decide to purchase it after one year of rental, but after the two obligatory months. This credit may be applied toward the purchase of any like instrument from our inventory, as long as the contract is in effect.
Size-changes are easy, you can exchange your rental at any time for another instrument at NO COST.
PLEASE NOTE: We require all of our rental customers to have a valid credit card number on file while an instrument is being rented. Should you be late in paying your rental fees, we will automaticaly charge your credit card.
DEPOSIT. There is a refundable damage deposit required at the time of rental. If the instrument is returned during the rental period and has no damages, 100% of the deposit is refunded and all rental payments are forfeited.
Renters are responsible for any damage or loss whatsoever the cause, and any broken strings have to be replaced with strings of the same kind at the renters's expensewhile the instrument is in their care. Read more about Instrument Care.
All repairs of rental instruments and bows must be done through Blue Danube Violins.
Rental fees do not include insurance. They do not cover accidental or deliberate damage to instruments or the replacement of broken strings. They do cover such things as bow rehairs, open seams, and sticking or slipping pegs.
Rental instruments remain the property of Blue Danube Violins until the final payment is made. If the instrument is returned during the rental period, 100% of the deposit is refunded and all rental payments are forfeited.

Payment for the first two months and the refundable deposit
- Your credit card information (for security reasons). In case the rent is not paid two months, we will process your credit card.
