Bulgarian master violin by Petko Petkov. Made in Kazanlak, Bulgaria in 2011. Copy of the Lafont Guarneri del Gesu from 1735 and made with seasoned and select Balkan wood. Corpus is 356.5 mm. Rosewood fittings, and a two-piece back with prominent flames. Spirit varnish of golden-brown. Certificate included by the maker. This is a master violin for a soloist, as there is both power and great beauty in the sound; also ideal for orchestral and opera playing or for the professional or advanced player of chamber music. Violin by Jan Bursik, master european violin, hand made in the Czech Republic in 2001. This violin is named ‘Arioso’ and comes with a certificate by the maker. Beautiful golden–brown oil varnish that allows the grains of the top and the downward tilting flames of the two-piece back to come through. Rosewood fittings with Thomastik Dominant strings. The sound is powerful, mature and flexible; ideal for any type of playing. Many professionals, including concertmasters in central Europe are playing violins made by this master maker.
