Just like the Danube river, important for its role as a vital commercial highway between nations in Europe, Blue Danube Violins, due to its location, has become a meeting point between violin makers, collectors and players from throughout the world. Since 2005, we have provided violins to customers coming from almost every corner of the globe and had the privilege of offering in our shop in Vienna wonderful instruments from numerous European makers, business partners and collectors. In our shop you can find new violins made by some of the top makers from Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, among others. Besides, we offer a large selection of old instruments, as well as some fine and rare violins.
Our main goal is to continue building the string instrument community and facilitating the encounter between the world of violin making with that of violin playing. We feel privileged being able to do so.
We offer, among others: high–level student violins, violas and cellos at competitive prices, handmade in European workshops by small teams of makers; older high–level 19th and 20th century workshop instruments from Germany, Bohemia, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and elsewhere; new and old master violins – Italian, German, Bohemian, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian among others.
We are exclusive distributor in Austria for Accord and Artonus Cases and carry BAM and Jakob Winter cases as well.
We speak English as well as other languages, and offer, especially to customers coming from abroad, an unforgettable experience buying a violin in Vienna, as well as assistance and support in selecting the instrument and/or bow best for your needs. Although not necessary, we encourage you to schedule an appointment. Because of our network of partners in the region, we are able to locate and bring specific instruments to Vienna qucikly for customers to try. Please inquire.
